What's New
MISSION IMPOSSIBLE? HARDLY.
The National Park Service has announced a fairly significant road closure beginning August 17th. The 14 mile section connecting Madison Junction to Norris will be off-limits until the Park re-opens this winter. What does this mean for a vigilant visitor? It means that we will work together to help you plan your itinerary a little differently. We'll recommend the road less traveled and encourage you to see sights you might otherwise have overlooked. This is not a reason to miss the Park; it's an opportunity to experience the rest of Yellowstone Country. Contact someone from the Ranch House Staff for more information.
COME ON... EVERYBODY'S DOIN' IT.
We've got new stuff! Not just new, but awesome. For past guests who have left empty-handed or for upcoming visitors who'd like to arrive prepared, check out our new digs: Camelbak water bottles, great new t-shirts, fabulous robes, and other super-fun Ranch souvenirs. HOLD ON TO YOUR HAT! IT'S A STAMPEDE!
Run or walk! This is a relaxed race and a great family event. As summer moves into fall, it feels like a celebration. A festival atmosphere prevails as walkers and runners from all over the area gather to test themselves on 5K and 10K courses. Race starts at 9am. There is a kid's race too! A FREE kid's fun run will start at 10:15am. The traffic-free route winds its way into the national forest along the Rendezvous Trail System, which serves cross-country skiers in winter and mountain bikers in summer. T-shirts, snacks, and thirst quenchers are all included. The Pine Needle Stampede is a non-profit foot race with all proceeds benefiting the West Yellowstone Community. Cash awards and raffle items are presented directly after the race at the Rendezvous Trailhead building. Bring the whole family and enjoy the trails!
